Dell
Rapids Lions participated in the fourth annual picnic in the City Park
with local first responders. Lions provided free KidSight vision
screening at the event on Saturday, July 20th.
Representatives
from fire and ambulance had vehicles and equipment on display. Avera
landed their helicopter near the amphitheater and allowed children to
check out the interior.
The Minnehaha County Sheriff's
Department had a huge presence of personnel who cooked up a free hotdog
lunch, and conducted bicycle safety training. Participants in the
safety training were awarded with a free, new safety helmet.
