Dell Rapids Lions projects benefit local food bank

Meat Raffle

All net proceeds from the Dell Rapids Lions Club meat raffle on Friday, January 2nd, were donated to The Storehouse Food Pantry.

A large crowd was present for the event at Norby's Bar & Grille. The $420.68 donation included several cash contributions.

Meals In A Bag

Club members assembled 30 meals-in-a-bag for The Storehouse. The kits included ingredients for four quick meals: tuna & noodle casserole, chicken & rice soup, spaghetti with meat sauce, and chicken & rice casserole. Each meal also included a canned vegetable or fruit.

Club members also donated 16 birthday cake kits. The three projects constituted the club's participation in Lions Clubs International's "Hunger Week of Service."
