The holidays come and go, but hunger remains Lions’ Jan. 2nd meat raffle to benefit local food bank
Lions Clubs
International's “Hunger Week of Service” is a global initiative when
Lions worldwide will tackle food insecurity through various projects
during the first week of the new year. ALL proceeds from the
Friday, January 2nd, Dell Rapids Lions Club Meat Raffle will go to The
Storehouse Food Pantry. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at
Norby’s. Donations from the public are encouraged, in the form of money
or non-perishable food items. This is a great opportunity to begin 2026
with a giving heart.
Dells Lions decided
to tackle three initiatives during Lions International’s “Hunger Week
of Service.” In addition to dedicating all meat raffle proceeds to The
Storehouse, members are assembling birthday cake kits and
meals-in-a-bag for The Storehouse.
Dells Lions have been assembling a variety of meals-in-a-bag that contain basic ingredients for a simple lunch or dinner.
